Postdoctoral Research Positions in Astrophysics

The ASC/Alliances Center for Astrophysical Thermonuclear Flashes at the University of Chicago invites applications for two postdoctoral research positions in astrophysics. The Center's purpose is to develop and apply a general fluid dynamics/combustion code (FLASH) suitable for calculations of astrophysical thermonuclear explosions (type I X-ray bursts, classical novae, and Type Ia supernovae). The successful applicant will build numerical simulations in these areas. Applicants must have a PhD by the date of appointment and possess experience in computational fluid dynamics and theoretical astrophysics.
