Tulane University Faculty Position: Near-surface Geophysics

The Dept. of Earth and Environ. Sciences at Tulane University invites applications for a tenure-track Assist. Professor, although consideration will be given to applicants at a higher rank, in the field of near-surface geophysics. We seek a field-oriented geophysicist with expertise that builds upon those of a growing, interdisciplinary department with interests in geological hazards, neotectonics and fluvial, coastal and nearshore processes. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an externally funded research program and mentor graduate students. Candidates will also be expected to teach introductory geophysics and geophysical data analysis, as well as graduate level courses in their field of expertise. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
