Werner Heisenberg and the Uncertainty Principle
|
Werner Heisenberg, physicist and founder of quantum mechanics, is best known for the uncertainty principle in quantum theory. The American Institute of Physics has created this online exhibit that takes the visitor through Heisenberg's early days as a student (he almost failed his oral exam) to his controversial work on a nuclear bomb for Hitler during World War II to his work on the uncertainty principle, published in 1927. |
