Distillations magazine is published quarterly by the nonprofit Chemical Heritage Foundation (CHF).

Our tagline, Science + Culture + History, says it best. We believe in strong narrative, exploring the past and present, and occasionally even speculating a little about the future. Our quarterly is devoted to good storytelling, accuracy, and solid design.

Distillations exists where science and the humanities overlap. If you’re curious about science in society, or about how things came to be, whether it’s artificial turf or health fads, you’ve come to the right place. Distillations contains a magazine, a podcast, videos, and a blog.
