SAS celebrated 10 years of commitment to amateur science in 2004. We are the only non-profit research and education organization dedicated to helping people enrich their lives by following their passion to take part in scientific adventures of all kinds. SAS is not an organization of amateurs, we are an organization for amateurs. We are run by a unique consortium of professional and amateur scientists. SAS has local chapters throughout the country. These local chapters allow amateur scientists to meet, discuss and perform scientific endeavors of all types. Throughout the coming years, SAS will continue to support and mentor the amateur scientist.
