Description: Welcome to the COAST Resource Guide. This material, intended for use by teachers to structuring classroom activities, is divided into two sections that reflect the different emphases and requirements of elementary and middle school programs, and high schools. The elementary and middle school section is developed from the award winning Operation Pathfinder, Best of the Best, and is an electronic version of the Resource Guide for Oceanography and Coastal Processes. The high school section is being developed to reflect the structure of the COAST Visualization Web Site. In order to better integrate with high school curricula, this material is structured to reflect the emphasis at that level on math and science. The web site is therefore organized into two realms: physical and chemical parameters and processes, and biota and biotic processes. These are further broken down into various subjects.
